Things people do not tell you

1. When you are transitioning 

For some hair, there is no amount of gel in the world that would create tiny little gorgeous curls like these. I am telling you, it is not about technique, it is about ability of your hair to do it or not. You may be better off waiting for a few months and doing a cute braid out like this.



2. When you are a veteran

You begin to wonder about locs even if you never previously considered them an option. It will happen.....just wait!



3. When you are a blogger

Try saying thank you every single time you receive a compliment. I mean every single time. I mean, do not ever get used to people being nice to you, assume it is normal and not thank them for being kind. There is a very selfish reason for this because it is a lovely antidote to the odd bit of negativity that you will receive because if you are doing a good job, you will have to say thank you many more times than you will have to frown.
