Weird Stuff that I use

I have one particularly odd item in my hair care regime. It is a 'hot oil' treatment from VO5. I have used it probably for 3 or 4 years because it claims to remove 75% more chlorine than shampooing alone.

I am not entirely convinced but I do still purchase this product. The ingredients are super strange for a 'hot oil treatment'.These are the first five after water

Cocotrimonium chloride - A conditioning agent and detergent

Acetamide MEA - Another conditioning agent

Hydroxyethylcellulose - Thickening agent and humectant

PEI 1750 - Another thickening agent

Oleth 20 - Another humectant

There are 35 listed ingredients for this one product - Yes 35!! These include delights such as hydrochloric acid, EDTA, sea salt and SLS (yes really number 6 - hydrochloric acid ). The spiel they give is that the product has five vital oils , but these are listed AFTER the fragrance and preservatives!

In my view, this is not so much a hot oil treatment but more like an extra conditioning shampoo. I do not believe that the five vital oils and white pearl extract actually contribute to the product function.

Is this the most weird product ever or can you top 35 listed ingredients?
