Windows 7 Allow The User To Change Product Key

I have pirated version of Windows 7 in my machine. But now I bought License for Windows 7. Is it possible I can change my product key with existing installation or I need to reinstall with the original CD?

Microsoft latest operating system Windows 7 beta is available for public download along with free product key (activation keys). This beta version Windows 7 has time bases expiry and it will expiry on 1st august 2009. Rumors are floating that Windows 7 RC mat be available by June 2009.

Anyways there are six more months to go for windows 7 beta 1 to expiry which is enough to enjoy windows 7. In case you need to change product key of windows 7 and don’t know how to do it then here is small guide for how to change windows 7 product key.

How to Change windows 7 Product key
1) Click the Start button
2) Right-click Computer
3) Select Properties
4) Scroll down window and click 'Change Product Key'
4. Enter New Product Key and click on next to activate your windows 7

You can also try the Command Line to change the Product key:

1. Click on the Start Button and type: CMD (into the 'Search programs and files' field in the Start Menu)
2. The Start Menu will show 'CMD.exe',
3. Right-click the CMD.exe file and select Run As Administrator.
4. In the CMD window, type: slmgr.vbs -ipk
   To activate windows after changing the key, type: slmgr.vbs -ato
