Today's finds
Today I've bought 3 new ones at a local supermarket store and a secondhand one. When you think about it people are ready to say goodbye to lots of money for a horribly old Persian carpet. So why say no to a considerably younger rug from IKEA?
I also found a nice second hand scarf. 60 % kashmir and 40% silk!
Funny thing-I can really sense the previous owner (though the scarf still had a label on it). Literary sense it. The scarf smells of a perfume. It must have been some older lady, who wore that kind of scent.
There are so many excuses not to buy from a secondhand shop. One of them - a dead owner. Somebody dies. Their stuff is in the same apartment or room. The horror of staying with the dead owner for a couple of weeks, until the neighbors can smell him/her. Those things must have terrible nightmares. Don't wear secondhand at night!
...But i know some people who collect vintage nightgowns...
