O, Mano varške
Posted on Thursday, June 11, 2009 by Arman Zulhajar
Kai gyveni su svetimšaliu, kurio lietuvių kalbos žodynas kol kas apsiriboja pietų meto laiku lankomo restorano meniu , patiri daugiau džiaugsmo nei kliūčių.
Štai kaip jis meiliai mane šiandien pavadino: Mano varške..
Mirk iš juoko!
Paklausiau: ką dar pasakysi?
Jis: mano Traškioji Vištiena.
Visai neblogai, galvoju.
O, my dear cottage cheese
Haaahaa, I couldn't hold myself!
When you share your life with a foreigner who's lithuanian dictionary mostly consits of various names of dishes from a lunch restorant menu, one experiences more joy than obsticals.
This is how he gently called me today :My cottage cheese.
I asked: What else are You gonna call me?
Him: My crispy chicken.
Not bad at all, I thought. May darling isn't that kind of a man who has his heart attached to the stomach. And for a lithuanian woman to be called a cottage cheese still could mean she is as fair as the Snow White.
Some older pictures of me can prove my fairiness.
I will definitely look like a crispy chicken after the summer :-)))
